Welcome to Quest Site Administrator Reports for SharePoint | OnDemand

This OnDemand product allows you to get "At a Glance" reporting for SharePoint servers within your organization. With a minimal installation footprint and agentless deployment, the OnDemand product gets you going with information you can use, quickly and securely.

 

By combining the power of a desktop service and a Microsoft Silverlight application, Quest provides you with reports that give you easy insight into the state of your SharePoint deployments.

 

 

With this free and easy-to-use OnDemand product, Quest has provided you an introduction to the suite of powerful reporting and administration tools for SharePoint from Quest Software.

User Interface Tab order in the connection dialog was incorrect.

Truncation of long filenames for display purposes, miscounted the number of characters to truncate before applying truncation algorithm.

Blog and Forum index incorrectly showed author and title in reverse order. Title now appears first with the next line showing the author and short date for the blog post.

Known Issues

The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of Quest Site Administrator Reports for SharePoint | OnDemand 1.1.0.

Installation Installation web pages will continue to be shown after successfully downloading and installing setup.msi.

Causes: The site http://sar.ondemand.quest.com has not been added to the Local Intranet Zone.

This can be caused by corporate Active Directory group policy preventing the installer from adding http://sar.ondemand.quest.com  as an Internet Explorer Local Intranet Zone.

Another user of this computer has already installed the product.

Workarounds:

  - Manually add http://sar.ondemand.quest.com to the Local Intranet Zone via Internet Explorer. See Microsoft Knowledge Base Article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/174360 for details.

 - Make a request to your Active Directory System Administrator to request that http://sar.ondemand.quest.com be added to the list of corporate Local Intranet Zone sites.

User Interface Unable to scroll using mouse wheel in Firefox and Chrome browsers within main report section.

Workaround: Use Microsoft Internet Explorer or use the vertical scrollbar.

In this release, all product components should be configured to use the same or compatible character encodings and should be installed to use the same locale and regional options. This release is targeted to support operations in the following regions: North America, Western Europe and Latin America, Japan.

Installation Instructions

  1. Browse to the site http://sar.ondemand.quest.com .
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions and click the Get Started Now button.
  3. Follow step 1 to Download Microsoft Silverlight if you have not already done so.
  4. Proceed to step 2 and agree with the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Download and Install the application by running the setup.msi package.
  6. Proceed to step 3 to start generating reports.
