Welcome to Quest Site Administrator Reports for SharePoint | OnDemand

This OnDemand product allows you to get "At a Glance" reporting for SharePoint servers within your organization. With a minimal installation footprint and agentless deployment, the OnDemand product gets you going with information you can use, quickly and securely.

By combining the power of a desktop service and a Microsoft Silverlight application, Quest provides you with reports that give you easy insight into the state of your SharePoint deployments.

• Find the total number of sites, sub-sites, documents, versions and attachments from your Site Collections.
• Quickly see where space is being consumed by the largest documents.
• View the document space that is consumed by different document types.

• Easier installation
  Installation is simplified to a single downloadable Windows Installer MSI file for all browsers rather than having a seperate ActiveX control for Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  
  
• New Introductory Pages
  The introductory pages have been simplified to allow for clear and easy setup instructions.
  
  
• Updated F.A.Q
  Updated Frequently-Asked-Questions to reflect the most common questions asked.

New Features in Quest Site Administrator Reports for SharePoint | OnDemand 1.1.0 include:

• Support for Secure SharePoint Sites
  Secure SharePoint sites can be analyzed by prefixing https:// to the site URL within the connection dialog.
  
  
• Report Target
  Depending on the credentials and URL given in the connection dialog, this OnDemand product may be able to analyze:
  
  
  • Site Collection, including all sites and sub-sites.
  • Site including all sub-sites.
  • This site only.
  
  This information is shown at the top of the report with an explanation of how the determination is made.
  
  
• Report Log
  A new report section provides information on which sites, lists and document libraries were included in the report. If a site, list or document library could not be analyzed, then this is shown as an error or warning in this within this section.

Installation Instructions

1. Browse to the site http://sar.ondemand.quest.com .
2. Follow the onscreen instructions and click the Get Started Now button.
3. Follow step 1 to Download Microsoft Silverlight if you have not already done so.
4. Proceed to step 2 and agree with the Terms and Conditions.
5. Download and Install the application by running the setup.msi package.
6. Proceed to step 3 to start generating reports.
